Boxing champion Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather has offered to pay for the funeral service of George Floyd, the African-American who died gruesomely out of police brutality.
The death of George Floyd incited outrage and protests across several states in the United States, after footages emerged showing officer Derek Chauvin was seen kneeling on his neck while two officers restrained him.
As it stands, Chauvin has been charged with manslaughter, while the other three (3) have been sacked.
Family members of George Floyd have announced that the funeral for Floyd will be held in his hometown, Houston on June 9.
Leonardo Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions confirmed the news to reporters that the award-winning boxer will 'breasting' the cost of the funeral of George Floyd. He said, ‘He’ll probably get mad at me for saying that, but yes, (Mayweather) is definitely paying for the funeral.
